Sammy, say
you know you shouldn't be so surprised there you know. Women
can't really resist a thick crop of jaw hair. It goes back
to... it goes back to Androcles.
(Norm: "Now wait a second, wasn't that Androcles the guy
who pulled the thorn out of a lions paw?")
That's what he told his wife when she found the scratches on
his back huh. I'm telling you guys, babes and beards.
The truth:
We checked a bushel of surveys and
found that women indeed do seem to like Facial Hair.
Androcles, a Christian flees
persecution in Rome and hides in a cave. A lion enters the cave
and Androcles pulls a thorn from it's paw. Later he is captured
by Caesar's men and is sent to the Colosseum to face the lions.
Androcles enters the ring to be sacrificed but is recognized and
warmly received by the lion that he had helped so the governor
of the town, marveling at such gratitude and fidelity in a
beast, decreed that both should receive their freedom.
