After Eddie's funeral Carla finds out
Eddie had a second wife, Gloria LeBec.
Near the end of the show Gloria comes
to Cheers and she and Carla become friends so Carla asks Gloria
to stay at her house.
Carla makes Cliff drive Gloria to her
house and as they are leaving Cheers Cliff starts his rambling. |
Did you know
that Gloria comes from the Latin Gloriaski? Sure, it's an
expression of surprise. It was made popular during the
depression by the round-eyed wafe, Little Orphan Annie. You
know, it's no mistake that she didn't have any pupils in her
eyes...
(At this point Cliff has left Cheers and can no longer be
heard.)
The truth:
Cliff is half right, Gloria is Latin
for glory.
As for the rest, we honestly have no clue what Cliff is rambling
about.
