Cliff throws in his prediction of
telephones in the future. |
You know, in
the future telephones will be obsolete.

Yeah, absolutely right, see people will communicate
telekinetically using part of their brain known as the cerebral
cortex that is heretofore untapped.
The truth:
We're not brain surgeons but the
cerebral cortex is the outer 1.5mm to 5mmof the cerebrum.
The cerebral cortex is responsible for:

Problem Solving.

Emotion.

Complex Thought.

Complex movement.
-
Initiation of voluntary movement.

Processing of multisensory information.

Processing of visual information.

Simple visual stimuli.

Language comprehension.
-
Detection of sound quality.

Speech production and articulation.
Since Cliff is making a prediction we can't really say he's
wrong, but it has not yet come to pass.
To this date the cerebral cortex is not yet responsible for
replacing the phone.
