Carla is in Cheers on her wedding day
to pick up her check, when Eddie LeBec is spotted coming down
the stairs.
We weren't
quite sure if this was trivia as Cliff asks a question, but at
least it's a superstition and they can be fun too.
Whoa, hey,
isn't that Eddie LeBec chasseing down the stairs there doc?
(Frasier: "Sure
looks like it.")
Carla's here, isn't there some superstition about the groom
seeing the bride before the wedding?
The truth:
There is a superstition of seeing the bride before the wedding,
but the exact reasoning is not known.
It may be that in arranged marriages, if the groom saw the bride
and was not pleased he might run away.
If it rains on your wedding day,
you'll shed many tears during your married life.
When a newly married couple enters
their home, the groom should carry the bride over the
threshold because if the bride should stumble entering the
home, it is a bad omen.
Tying tin cans to the back of the
newlywed's car is good luck because the noise will frighten
away evil spirits.
If the groom drops the wedding band
during the ceremony, the marriage is doomed.
The spouse who goes to sleep first
on the wedding day will be the first to die.
