Boston is
the hub of Boston Proper which comprises some, oh, there's
probably, what 2 and 3/4 million people spread out in 83 cities
and towns.
The truth:
Greater Boston does consist of 83 cities and towns in an area
of 1,057 square miles with a total population of more than 3
million people nowadays.
Cliff came close, he just got the hub part wrong. Boston Proper
is the hub of Boston, not the other way around.
