One of colleague of Frazier's has a
spot on his tie and Frazier and Diane have a problem with how
to tell him, but now we bring you
a Clifford Clavin history of the tie... |
Incidentally, it's a little known fact that the tie was
invented in ancient times to be used as a bib, you know, wipe
your chin.
(Coach: "You
mean they're thinking of changing that?")
The truth:
The tie can be dated back to ancient Egypt when a rectangular
piece of cloth that was tied and hung down to the shoulders was
a very important part of an Egyptian’s clothing because it
showed his social status.
We're pretty sure Cliff's use for the tie is not quite accurate
as one's social status might not look to appetizing with food
spots all over ones social symbol, although our wives have
pointed out that men are pigs and they are pretty sure the tie
has been used as a bib by many men throughout history.
The bottom line is we think Cliff is wrong, but the wives think
he is right; you decide.
